Hi! My name is Carrie Reed and I am a travel, landscape, nature, and wildlife photographer. Travel and photography has always gone hand-in-hand for me. I started with disposable cameras in elementary school, bringing them on school field trips and family vacations. When I finished 5th grade, my parents gave me my first film camera. I used that for many years, printing my photos and arranging them in frames, collages, and in scrapbook after scrapbook-documenting trips around the US, to the Caribbean, and to Spain and Morocco along with every day life at home. In college I switched to a basic point-and-shoot digital camera as I shot trips to Europe, Japan, Australia and around the US. The birth of my first child motivated me to purchase my first DSLR camera--a Canon EOS Rebel t4i with an 18-55 mm kit lens.
My family then moved to New Delhi, India where I continued with my love of travel and nature photography. Not only did I take photos around New Delhi and India at large, but also on our travels to Cambodia, Thailand and the Maldives. We're back in the USA now and I've upgraded to a Canon EOS 6D and have a wide range of lenses. When I'm not shooting sites in the US, I love taking photos of my two kids and cat as well as doing some family portraits for friends and wedding photography for family. We'll be moving to Cairo, Egypt in mid-2017 and I've already started planning what I want to shoot there!
